Core Range goes Gluten Free

As part of our development we decided that going Gluten Free with our core range means our beers can be drunk by more people. So why not, especially when a number of friends asked us when we would launch Gluten Free beers. The recipes and ingredients remain the same, the difference is the use of a bit of science to remove the Gluten.

After some research we discovered an enzyme that is added to the beer at the start of fermentation that removes the majority of the Gluten. Our beers have been certified as Gluten Free by an approved laboratory, they have tested the beers and shown them to contain less than 10 ppm of Gluten. Below 20 ppm we are allowed to call them Gluten Free.

 

All About Citra

All About Citra was an idea for a super pale ale we had back in the Autumn of 2018. We wanted a beer that really showcased ┬áCitra hops as it’s one we love, but it needed to be very balanced not a hop bomb. We love a hop bomb but not just for this beer.

All About Citra is hopped with Citra very late in the boil and dry hopped in the fermenter to maximise hop aroma. This is combined with our house yeast blend which is a traditional and clean fermenting ale yeast that helps in the creation of balanced beers that allow the hops and malt shine.

At 4% it’s a very drinkable, session pale ale that is already proving to be one of our most popular beers. As of the start of 2019 it has also had the Gluten removed which has been certified at below 10ppm meaning we can call it Gluten Free.
