We are brewing again!

I am pleased to say we started brewing again yesterday, starting off as we finished pre-lockdown with Big River Pale Ale and Session IPA.

After a long day both should be available in Cask, Bottle & Bag in Box in a few weeks time.

Thank-you all

Well we have now run out of all our stock, so if you have bought one of our beers during the lockdown then thank-you we really appreciate it and we hope you have enjoyed drinking them.

Once we are allowed out again we can start brewing again and we are certainly hoping that won’t be long.

In the meantime I hope you are all supporting your local independent breweries where you can. Stay safe and we will see you on the other side.

New stock – next week

Unfortunately we have temporarily run out of some of our beers. But don’t worry we have two that are just carbonating right now and will be back available on 14 April.

The two coming back into stock are Session IPA and Big River Pale Ale.

Once the beer is gone, it’s gone until we are out of lockdown and I can start brewing again. Thanks for your support so far during this difficult time.

Stay safe.

We’re looking for new local pubs, clubs and bottle outlets

We are always on the lookout for new pubs, bars, hotels, restaurants and shops to supply with our range of beers. Our brewery is based in Minchinhampton and we are happy to deliver to Stroud, Cirencester, Cheltenham and Swindon and surrounding areas.

We supply the trade with 9 Gallon Casks as well as bottles.

If you would be interested in stocking our beers or know a venue that would then please contact us: bigriverbrewco@outlook.com.

Beer to start flowing again…soon

After moving the brewery in Summer from Cirencester to Minchinhampton I’d rather hoped HMRC would have been quicker in providing me with the new and necessary paperwork, however that was received in mid September some 3 months after requesting it. I had planned to start brewing immediately but my daughter is having an operation so her care comes before beer and that will see me out of action for another few weeks.

I’m hoping to start brewing at the end of October and have beer available in early November. First brew will be Rolling Hills.

Watch out for a few new beers coming too before the end of the year, all certified Gluten Free.

All About Citra – Highly Commended

At last weeks Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards, All About Citra was voted Highly Commended in the new Free From Category by the judges. One year in and our first award and one nominated by others is a great result.

All About Citra is available in bottles, Cask and Bag in a Box.

Award Nomination for All About Citra

We have just found out that our All About Citra Beer has been nominated in this years Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards, in the Free From category. This beer as all of our others is Certified Gluten Free. The awards take place on 8th July at Cheltenham Racecourse where the winner will be announced! We are up against two others on the night….fingers crossed!

Core Range goes Gluten Free

As part of our development we decided that going Gluten Free with our core range means our beers can be drunk by more people. So why not, especially when a number of friends asked us when we would launch Gluten Free beers. The recipes and ingredients remain the same, the difference is the use of a bit of science to remove the Gluten.

After some research we discovered an enzyme that is added to the beer at the start of fermentation that removes the majority of the Gluten. Our beers have been certified as Gluten Free by an approved laboratory, they have tested the beers and shown them to contain less than 10 ppm of Gluten. Below 20 ppm we are allowed to call them Gluten Free.
